About HarshStat
A systematic approach to markets, products, and continuous learning
My Journey
I started trading in 2019, right at the edge of learning how markets behave in real time. I wasn't looking for quick wins — I was looking for patterns, logic, and systems. What began as curiosity evolved into obsession.
I've lived through euphoric bull runs where everything seemed invincible, brutal bear phases where portfolios evaporated, volatility spikes that shook convictions, fakeouts that tested discipline, and market crashes that forced recalibration. Each cycle taught me something new. Each mistake became a system upgrade.
The more I traded, the more I realized: markets aren't random — they're complex. They reward patience, discipline, and systematic thinking. They punish emotion, overconfidence, and shortcuts.
So I built systems. I tested them. I broke them. I rebuilt them. I refined them. I documented everything. I failed often, learned constantly, and never stopped iterating.

What I Believe
Markets reward systems, not luck
Sustainable edges come from disciplined execution, risk management, and continuous adaptation. Random success doesn't compound — systems do.
Product thinking enhances trading
Building products teaches you to think in systems, understand user behavior, and solve real problems. These same principles apply to designing robust trading strategies.
Data beats opinions every time
Intuition is valuable, but decisions backed by data compound better. Backtest rigorously. Measure everything. Let evidence guide you.
Learning never stops
Markets evolve. Technologies improve. Strategies decay. The only sustainable edge is the willingness to keep learning, experimenting, and adapting.
What HarshStat Represents
HarshStat is my digital playground — a place where I document my journey through quantitative finance, systematic trading, and product building.
It's not about showing only the wins. It's about transparency — sharing what worked, what failed, and what I learned from both. It's about building in public, thinking systematically, and constantly refining my approach.
This is where markets meet systems. Where quantitative analysis meets product strategy. Where continuous learning meets deliberate practice.
HarshStat is proof that combining analytical rigor with systematic execution creates compound growth — both in markets and in life.
How I Think About Markets & Systems
Markets are complex adaptive systems. They're shaped by human behavior, institutional flows, macro forces, and countless feedback loops. You can't predict them perfectly, but you can understand them probabilistically.
I approach trading like building a product — define the problem, design a solution, test it rigorously, iterate based on feedback, and scale what works. Risk management is non-negotiable. Position sizing is strategic. Execution is everything.
I believe in backtesting, but I also know its limits. Historical patterns inform, but they don't guarantee. The key is building systems that are robust, adaptive, and resilient across different market regimes.
Systems thinking isn't just for trading — it's how I approach product, growth, and learning. Break things down. Understand the components. See how they interact. Optimize. Repeat.
